Because I didn’t find a pair I like and would fit me, I gave myself a challenge recently: making my custom made to measure jeans.
Denim is easy to cut and sew, not too expensive and available in a multitude of colors and tones. Only downside, with all the necessary overstitching, it requires a lot of thread, a resistant and expensive one.
For the cut, I chose a classic straight model. It’s supposed to be the first in a long series, so I preferred to start with the basics. I made some modifications to the basic pattern of trousers, modification that will be the subject of another post, because I am only moderately happy with the result. I want to tweak this pattern before I share it with you.
For now, I show you the pictures of this first jean and hope that the rest will follow shortly.

The entire outfit is perfection!
