My simple, easy cape

The cape is the best sewing exercise for beginners. Too difficult to muff it. You only need to find the right fabric and pattern. When doing my shopping at Saint-Pierre Market, I came across a pretty fantastic woolen cloth, lace-woven, with rosy and black tracery. The material is so beautiful and fragile that only a cape could bring it out.

Lined, folded, quickly sewn, it becomes a shoulder warmer / bolero that perfectly goes with ultra-casual outfit. I added two Chinese Frog closures to prevent the cape from slipping over the shoulders. I can also put it on one shoulder only or wear it as a scarf around the neck. Simple and chic.
